How to Auto Sync a Transaction into Xero

Updated over a year ago

Once Xero access has been granted then it can take from 2-3 minutes for us to sync the data between Xero and Pluto.

Note: To enable the auto-syncing of Xero with Pluto, you must first activate the integration. If you haven't done this yet, please follow the steps outlined in this help article.

Once Xero access is confirmed, the following steps will guide you through the necessary setup to successfully complete the accounting integration:

  1. Once the synchronization is complete, please click on the "Activate Integrations" button.

  2. Pluto will then automatically generate a bank account named "Pluto Balance - AED".

  3. Once the integration is active, you will be automatically directed to a dedicated tab where you can easily complete the auto-mapping between Pluto categories and GL Account.

  4. The last step is optional where you can map a default tax code for selected transactions.

  5. Once the integration is complete you can view the imported GL accounting and tax codes from "Accounting > Integrations > Manage".

  6. To auto-map categories and add tax codes please refer to this helpful guide.

To Sync Transactions:

The following actions can be taken by the user:

  • Synced: Users can sync a single or bulk records

  • Unverify: Users can "unverify" (unlock) a record in case there is a need to change specific fields for this transaction by an admin/manager/employee.

  1. Please navigate to the "Accounting" section on the left sidebar.

  2. In "Accounting" please choose "Card Transactions".

  3. Verify the transactions you would like to Sync from the "Pending Verifications" tab and confirm the verification.

  4. Once the transactions are verified, you can then navigate to the "Synced" tab to sync your transactions into Xero.

  5. You can then go to your Xero Account and navigate to the "Account Transactions" tab where you will find the transactions you have synced marked as "Reconciled".
